If you’re fascinated by human behavior, then psychology is the major for you!
At Union College, you’ll study normal and abnormal behavior, learning, development and cognition, as well as how to conduct research in psychology. And you’ll have lots of opportunities to apply your knowledge in exciting and innovative ways.
The Union College psychology curriculum provides a thorough grounding in the discipline, and meets all ten goals identified by the American Psychological Association for psychology programs. You’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, to conduct and present research at student conferences, and to engage in projects of all kinds related to your major. Such experiences contribute to your success in future studies, in the workforce, or just life in general.

As a psychology major at Union College, whether graduate or undergraduate, you will attend small classes (usually less than 25 students), work closely with your faculty, and become acquainted with both applied and scientific aspects of the field.
Prospective psychology students are encouraged to visit the psychology department, attend a psychology class, have lunch with current psychology majors, meet the faculty, and get to know more about our program!
